If they can reach the fissure and open the relic, then shouldn't that suggest that they should be able to access and build whatever's inside it? On the other hand, to build Saryn requires you trek out to Sedna, slog through Rathuum and collect 18 chasses before the damn systems finally drop. If they can acquire the relic, then they should be able to take it into a fissure. Players acquire prime anything from relics and fissures. The problem with the difficulty of acquisition isn't on the primes. In fact, the remaining advantage which really means something for a prime are those free polarities - and those best benefit the new players who don't have the forma stockpiles. They used to be, when endgame was hour 2 of a T4 defense instead of sortie 3 and Rhino P's couple extra armor affecting his Iron Skin mattered, and 2 free polarities was a boon to people making 1 forma a week instead of sitting on stockpiles of 100+. Mastery rank is meaningless, and primed frames are, generally, not special to begin with. I just don't see the reason why it should be fine for a new player to be able to buy a better version of Banshee for 50-60 plat when the base frame costs 225. By the time they finish their Star Charts, they'll probably be around MR8 and can build any Prime Warframe and they'll have access to the base frames as well. I recently got two friends to start playing the game not even a week ago and they just got to Jupiter and are both MR5. Like, you can get Valkyr Prime built by the time you unlock Jupiter depending on how hard you binge the game when you start. You don't have all of the powerful mods when you start out, you slowly power up and I think having Primes be easier to build and acquire than they're base equivalent is really stupid considering it just makes the base frame mastery fodder. The only people who this would hurt are new people that buy Prime Access since they wouldn't immediately get to use the thing they just paid real money for and new players that want to skip the grind of opening relics/people who weren't around when they were unvaulted.īut this is Warframe. Locking them behind a Mastery Rank opens the opportunity for players to build the base frame, and then "upgrade" to the Prime version later. Why would a new player think of building Banshee if they just bought Banshee Prime for 50-60 plat? They might even assume that the mastery affinity they got from Banshee Prime might be the same they would get from leveling up Banshee, so they might not pursue building the base frame. Heck, even Hydroid and Zephyr are locked higher than Limbo at MR 5 and MR 6 respectively! I love Limbo as a frame, he is my go to frame for a variety of situations and I feel he deserves the respect of being one of the hardest frame to learn but is worth it once you do and to see inexperienced players using him and making a fool out of themselves and tarnishing Limbo as a scrappy frame is not what I wanted with Limbo Prime.Ĭonsidering they are upgrades compared to the base frames, I think they should all have mastery locks. And the thing that confuses me more is the fact that other easier to use frames like Banshee, Mirage and Oberon are locked at MR 8? What? Those 3 frames even if played poorly at least won't affect other players that much as compared to the infamy that is Limbo. So why is he locked at a mere MR 4? Beginners still new to the game can potentially get Limbo Prime before they learn how to use him effectively and obtain some useful mods for him and thus be resented by other players if they join in multiplayer and make things much harder for everyone else. Corpus Spy speedrun and even saving other teammates if they went down right in the middle of a swarm of enemies with no trouble. Most people know a badly played Limbo is more of a hindrance to the team than to the enemies while a well played Limbo is one of the most potent team support frame in the game excelling at crowd control, area denial. ![]() (#s "Text"), which will appear as Spoiler: or
